We help our clients find their vision, their strategic direction, then we work closely with them to craft the goals and key objectives to reach that vision. We work with a range of organizations, both business and non-profit. To date, we have led development of more than 30 strategic business plans. Clients include: Surfrider Foundation, World Conservation Union, Deep Search, National Steinbeck Center, Western Athletic Clubs, Mainsail Management and a host of others.
Strategic Business Planning
We facilitate a series of workshops that bring your leadership team (or board) together to:
- Develop situational and SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analyses
- Facilitate an intensive workshop covering vision, mission, objectives and strategies
- Working with key players, develop the draft plan
- Develop extensive financial pro formas
- Research competitors, comparables and industry best practices
- Result: a complete Business Plan (or, for non-profits, a Strategic Plan) covering vision, mission, strategic objectives, financial projections, operations plan, marketing strategy and implementation, staffing plan and contingencies
- Facilitate periodic Business Plan review/update sessions for progress review, plan re-calibration, and individual re-commitment (we require clients to undertake this critical exercise, preferably quarterly, whether we participate.
Visioning workshops: ìRemembering the future ì
For organizations that do not want (or have the time) to develop a full Business or Strategic Plan, we lead you through an exciting and inspiring full-day or half-day intensive brainstorm session and visioning workshop. Outcomes:
- Your leadership team or board of directors will open their minds up to new possibilities as they ìremember the futureî in an innovative, proven facilitation session
- Following this, we will take you through a step-by-step brainstorm of ìhow we got to that visionî
- Post-session, we will craft a concise Vision Statement that encompasses the essence of this envisioned future for your organization, a set of action steps grouped by discipline and an ìenvisioned futureî scenario
